For this technique, prior rod actions were too fast causing rips in the fish's lip and losing them or a rod that was too moderate taking away the sensitivity. Please use rod cases for all custom ice rods. Avoid using any hook keepers/guides on noodle blanks when putting rods away as hooking your jig to the rod will increase the odds that your noodle rod's tip will break.
